Investigating Slopes

Image
Fourth Class : Investigating Slopes We in Fourth Class decided to investigate slopes. We asked our caretaker to cut a tube in half that we got from Recreate . We used Math's books as a measurement for the slope. We used 3, 5, 8, 12,15 and 20 books. We let the toy car go at the top of the slope. We measured how far the car travelled in cm using metre sticks. We recorded our findings on the table below. We came up with the conclusion that the higher the slope ( the more Math's books we used) the further the car went. We drew bar charts to represent our findings.

Add up all the  numbers on the hopscotch squares? What time does it show on the wall clock? How many squares are on the chess board? Stand at the globe in the yard. Face north. What building are you facing? Count the drums on the wall. Add the numbers on the blue bibs. In what year did Scoil Cholmcille win the  hand ball?    How many Roald Dahl books are on the wall?
